EBBENGLADE NEWFOUNDLANDS is situated in the picturesque countryside near Ballarat, Victoria.  We are twenty minutes from Ballarat and just over an hour west of Melbourne                                                        

Newfoundlands have been a part of our lives for over 20 years now.  They are primarily our companions and we would never be without them.  They are so adorable and fun loving. 

But don't forget they do have drawbacks--they slobber and drool-- love water buckets for their feet and faces-- pups still dig holes, chew everything and need toilet training-- you and pup MUST spend time with a Dog Obedience Club for initial dog socialising and training for basic good behaviour in order to have a socially well behaved giant dog.  Your friends might not appreciate being jumped up on knocked over and and sat on by a huge slobbery dirty wet fully grown 50-90kg newfoundland!

As we really want others to have the same enjoyment of owning a newfoundland, we seek to have at least one or two litters each year and these are raised with the family within our own home.  Temperament and good health are primary considerations as well maintaining the beautiful and massive appearance so characteristic of a newfoundland. 

Having been great friends for years we now breed in co-operation with ARTANMADRA NEWFOUNDLANDS.  Samantha Eastman obtained her first newfoundland from us back in 2000 and has never looked back.

Being very busy people and having our dogs primarily as companions, we do not enter many Dog Shows.  Victoria's Specialty Newfoundland Show each year is always a priority though.  This is the largest Newfoundland Specialty Show in Australia and we usually achieve a win or placing in Age-group Classes at least each year. We have achieved Winning Bitch (Challenge), Reserve Challenges, Runner Up in Show, and Best in Show in the past.
